Royal Caribbean International’s Voyager of the Seas has arrived in Brisbane to begin its winter deployment in Australia.

This marks the first time the 1999 built ship has sailed from the port. The vessel will now operate a range of itineraries from three to 20 nights, featuring destinations across Queensland and the South Pacific.

Royal Caribbean said the season represents a “long-awaited return to Australia,” with more than 20 departures scheduled through mid April. “Our award-winning Voyager is an adventure-seeker’s dream and the perfect holiday match for the spirit of the Sunshine State,” said Gavin Smith, vice president and managing director for Australia and New Zealand at Royal Caribbean.

“This season from Brisbane is one for the books with more weekend getaways and more island time than ever before across Queensland and South Pacific destinations, reinforcing the unforgettable memories that families can make on a Royal Caribbean holiday,” he added.

Prior to its return to Australia, Voyager of the Seas completed a repositioning voyage around Africa and through the Indian Ocean.

From Brisbane, the ship is now set to operate three to seven night sailings to domestic ports including Airlie Beach and Cairns, as well as extended itineraries to the South Pacific. The eight to twelve night voyages will feature calls in Vanuatu, Mystery Island, New Caledonia and other popular destinations.

At the end of its Australian season, the Voyager will undertake a 25 night transpacific repositioning cruise to the U.S. West Coast, departing Brisbane in mid April and sailing via French Polynesia and Hawaii before reaching Seattle.

Royal Caribbean is also operating the Anthem of the Seas in Australia for the 2025–26 season. The 2015 built ship is sailing in the South Pacific for the first time and offering itineraries from Sydney.
