Norwegian Reintroduces Free at Sea Plus with Expanded Perks
Norwegian Cruise Line has announced the return of its Free at Sea Plus package, enhancing the line’s existing Free at Sea program with additional benefits.
According to the company, the upgraded package “takes our Free at Sea program to the next level, giving travelers even more ways to enjoy a seamless, stress-free cruise.”
Priced from $49.99 per person per day, Free at Sea Plus includes expanded amenities such as unlimited Starbucks beverages and unlimited streaming Wi-Fi.
The package also provides access to a wider range of premium drinks, including top-shelf spirits like Patrón Añejo and Macallan 12 Year Old, along with wines and champagne by the glass from Norwegian’s signature collection.
Additional inclusions consist of bottled water, energy drinks and fresh juices. Guests will also receive 50 percent off any extra specialty dining cover charges.
Free at Sea Plus extends to Great Stirrup Cay as well, allowing guests to enjoy unlimited beverages at Norwegian’s private island in the Bahamas. This comes ahead of a previously announced change — starting March 2026, Norwegian will no longer honor its regular beverage packages at the island.
“Combined with Free at Sea’s existing inclusions — specialty dining, unlimited open bar onboard the ship, high-speed Wi-Fi powered by Starlink, and shore excursion credits — Free at Sea Plus means even fewer logistics to manage, total budget control and more time to relax,” the company stated.
The enhanced package becomes available on December 18, 2025, for sailings departing on or after February 1, 2026.
Norwegian announced the return of Free at Sea Plus alongside its 2027–28 winter deployment, which features more than 370 itineraries across regions including the Caribbean, the Bahamas, the Mexican Riviera, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Seven ships will sail from Florida, while Norwegian Viva and Norwegian Prima will operate from Puerto Rico. The line will also offer cruises from Los Angeles, New Orleans, Galveston, Jacksonville and Philadelphia during the season.
