In April, the Port of Osaka hosted inaugural calls from three cruise ships: Oceania's Riviera, Princess Cruises' Royal Princess, and Royal Caribbean's Serenade of the Seas.

The Riviera docked on April 15, followed closely by the Serenade of the Seas on April 16. On April 25, the Royal Princess made its first stop in Osaka, bringing with it around 3,500 passengers.

This initial visit was marked by a traditional plaque exchange ceremony with the captain of the ship. The Royal Princess’s departure featured a jazz performance, with Myaku-Myaku, the official mascot of the 2025 World Expo being held at the Port of Osaka, adding to the festive atmosphere.
