Adora Cruises has revealed plans for a special themed gala during the maiden voyage of Adora Flora City, which is scheduled to begin on Nov. 22, 2026.

Named “Charming Flower City – Adora Sets Sail for Dreams,” the event will bring together Chinese and international passengers for a program of cultural performances celebrating the ship’s inaugural sailing.

The gala has been developed in collaboration with Guangzhou Culture Group and a number of professional performing arts organizations.

Five major performing arts organizations from Guangzhou will participate in the maiden voyage celebrations: The Guangzhou Acrobatic Arts Theater, Guangzhou Song and Dance Theater, Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Theater, Guangdong Music and Quyi Troupe and Guangdong Puppet Theater.

Together, the groups will present a varied program showcasing different aspects of Chinese performing arts and culture. Performances will include acrobatics, Cantonese opera, traditional puppetry, Guangdong music, singing and dancing.

“We aim to deeply integrate the aesthetic imagery of Guangzhou’s traditional lifestyle and the innovative vitality of contemporary Guangzhou into an ocean-based cultural tourism setting, allowing guests to experience the charm of Chinese culture from the very first day they board,” said Adora.

Through the cruise ship as a platform, we hope to bring more outstanding Chinese culture to guests from China and abroad, enrich the cultural dimension of ocean vacations, and explore new possibilities for the dissemination of traditional culture.

Adora Flora City is currently scheduled to be delivered on Nov. 6, 2026, ahead of its first passenger sailing later that month. It will embark on its maiden voyage from Nansha Cruise Homeport on Nov. 22 with the inaugural itinerary being a six-day, five-night cruise departing from Guangzhou. During the voyage, Adora Flora City will call at Hong Kong, China, as well as Hue via Chan May in Vietnam.

Chinese Olympic diving champion Guo Jingjing will serve as godmother of Adora Flora City. She is set to officially name the new cruise ship during a ceremony in Nansha.
