AIDAperla to Offer New Winter Cruises from Kiel in 2027

AIDA Cruises is expanding its 2027-28 winter schedule by introducing a series of winter sailings from Kiel aboard the AIDAperla.

Following the recent cancellation of the ship’s planned Middle East season, the vessel will instead operate cruises to destinations across the Baltic and Nordic regions, voyages along the Norwegian coast and a longer “Great Winter Break Canary Islands” itinerary between November 2027 and May 2028.

In a press release, AIDA said the new itineraries will range from three to 11 nights and can be combined to create longer cruise vacations.

The *AIDAperla *will begin its winter deployment from Kiel on November 13, 2027, with itineraries visiting Northern European cities including Copenhagen, Riga, Tallinn, Helsinki and Stockholm.

During the 2027 Christmas period, the ship will sail a holiday cruise departing December 23, calling at Copenhagen, Kristiansand and Aarhus. This will be followed by a New Year’s itinerary through Scandinavia, with guests welcoming the new year in Oslo.

In February and March 2028, the focus shifts to cruises along the Norwegian and Baltic coasts. Guests will have the opportunity to visit Hardangerfjord, Norway’s second-longest fjord, during March voyages, along with calls at Eidfjord. Two itineraries will also include extended stays in Oslo, allowing winter sports enthusiasts to attend the Biathlon World Cup finals at Holmenkollen, scheduled for March 14-19, 2028.

In January 2028, the *AIDAperla *will also depart Kiel on the 24-day “Great Winter Break Canary Islands” voyage, linking the Canary Islands with destinations along Europe’s Atlantic coastline. The itinerary features visits to Madeira, Lisbon and ports in northern Spain. Guests will also have the option of booking only part of the voyage, either from Kiel to Tenerife or the return sailing to Kiel beginning January 20, 2028.

AIDA’s winter cruise program from Germany will also include the AIDAnova, which will continue operating seven-night itineraries from Hamburg to southern Norway and cities along Europe’s western coastline.
