Carnival Cruise Line has revealed that both the Carnival Horizon and Carnival Spirit will homeport in Galveston for the first time as part of the brand’s 2027-28 deployment. They will join the Carnival Breeze and Carnival Jubilee, giving the port a lineup of four ships offering everything from short getaways to extended voyages.

Highlights of the new program include an expanded seven-day schedule for the Carnival Breeze, Bahamas cruises aboard the Carnival Jubilee featuring Celebration Key, and distinctive Panama Canal and Journeys itineraries on the Carnival Spirit.

Carnival Horizon

The Carnival Horizon will debut in Galveston on May 19, 2027, with an eight-day Western Caribbean sailing calling at Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, and Isla Tropicale. Afterward, the ship will operate a series of four- and five-day Western Caribbean cruises. Between May 2027 and April 2028, the ship will offer more than 70 departures, boosting capacity with frequent trips to Cozumel and Progreso.

Carnival Jubilee

The Carnival Jubilee will continue from Galveston with six- and eight-day cruises through April 2028. Six-day itineraries will include Cozumel and Isla Tropicale, while eight-day Bahamas voyages will visit Nassau, Celebration Key, and RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay.

Carnival Spirit

Starting October 11, 2027, the Carnival Spirit will launch a schedule of four-, five-, and six-day Western Caribbean sailings to Cozumel, Progreso, and Belize. Following her Alaska season and Panama Canal repositioning voyage, she will offer 11 extended 10-day itineraries to the Caribbean and Panama, along with Eastern and Western Caribbean options. A 16-day Panama Canal Journeys cruise from Seattle to Galveston on September 25, 2027, will precede the season.

Carnival Breeze

From May 2027, the Carnival Breeze will shift to a new seven-day rotation, sailing both Western and Eastern Caribbean routes. Ports of call include Celebration Key, Key West, Nassau, Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, Belize, and Isla Tropicale. Special sailings feature an eight-day Christmas cruise on December 18, 2027, plus two 14-day Journeys voyages: the Eastern Caribbean on October 16, 2027, and the Southern Caribbean on January 29, 2028.

Carnival noted that four ships will remain homeported in Galveston during the 2027-28 season, with additional details to be announced in the coming weeks.
