Carnival Cruise Line has announced the cancellation of five upcoming sailings on the Carnival Breeze, originally scheduled for January and March 2027.

In a notification sent to affected passengers, the cruise line cited revised maintenance plans for the ship as the reason behind the cancellations.

The Carnival Breeze, based out of Galveston, had been scheduled to sail four- and five-night itineraries to destinations in the Western Caribbean and Mexico. The impacted voyages include departures on January 11, March 5, March 13, March 18, and March 22, 2027.

Carnival clarified that the change stems from adjustments to the ship’s drydock and itinerary schedule during that period.

“We sincerely apologize for this change and thank you for your understanding,” the company wrote in its statement to guests.

Travelers booked on the cancelled cruises will have the option to rebook on another sailing or receive a full refund for the fare they paid.

“We have a variety of alternatives and are confident that you will find another Carnival Cruise that is filled with an equal amount of fun,” Carnival added.

Those choosing to reschedule will benefit from price protection on a comparable cruise and similar cabin category. Additionally, Carnival is providing onboard credit as compensation, the value of which varies based on the original departure date.

  • January 11 and March 17–22 sailings: $25 per person, up to $50 per stateroom
  • March 5 sailing: $50 per person, up to $100 per stateroom

These credits will be applied directly to passengers’ onboard accounts.

For guests who prefer not to rebook, automatic refunds will begin processing after July 21, 2025, and could take up to three weeks to appear, according to the company.
