Carnival Cruise Line has announced that complimentary diapers will be available for toddlers at its new private destination, Celebration Key.

A key highlight of the destination is Starfish Lagoon, a dedicated family-friendly area that includes a splash zone designed specifically for young children, including toddlers in diapers.

“If you have a toddler in diapers, they can go into the lagoon. It’s set up for any children, including those in baby diapers,” said Sarah Beth Reno, Carnival’s Senior Vice President of Guest Operations. “We’ll give away complimentary diapers at the lagoon in case you forgot to bring one,” she added during a Q&A session aboard Carnival Vista.

Starfish Lagoon is one of five themed zones, or “portals,” at Celebration Key and is packed with features tailored for families. It includes two full-sized waterslides, multiple sports courts, and a dedicated toddler-friendly splash area.

Guests can also explore Guppy Grotto, a coral reef-inspired water play zone for younger children. This area includes a shallow wading pool, interactive water toys, shaded areas for parents to relax, and a nearby ice cream shop for refreshments.

For those seeking a more premium experience, Starfish Lagoon offers 12 rentable Floating AquaBanas and a Swim-Up Bar for adults. A range of dining options is also available throughout the lagoon.

Carnival is also expanding its offerings for younger guests across its fleet. The cruise line’s upcoming Excel-class ships, Carnival Festivale and Carnival Tropicale, will introduce additional water play zones, including the three-deck Sunsation Point water park.

“We are making a great effort to create more opportunities for younger kids to enjoy the water with splash pads and more,” said Carnival President Christine Duffy.

The new ships will also include outdoor arcades and interactive games, aiming to enhance the experience for families traveling together across multiple generations.
