Cunard Sees Major Booking Surge with 2027 Itinerary Launch

Cunard has announced a sharp rise in bookings following the debut of its 2027 voyage program, recording a 55% increase in nights booked within the first week compared to the same launch window for 2026.
Katie McAlister, Cunard’s president, commented: “We’re delighted with the response to our 2027 launch. It’s wonderful to see so many guests choosing to sail with us, and the rise in bookings shows just how much people continue to value the Cunard experience.”
She further noted: “Demand for our Queens Grill and Princess Grill suites has been especially strong globally, which tells us that more guests are seeking the space, service, and thoughtful details that make our luxury grill suites so special.”
According to Cunard’s press statement, the UK and North American markets played major roles in the surge, with the UK seeing nearly a 50% increase and North America more than doubling its bookings.
Luxury accommodations such as the Queens Grill and Princess Grill suites have seen particularly strong interest, with bookings more than doubling compared to the previous year’s launch period.
The iconic Queen Mary 2’s Transatlantic Crossings continue to be a top draw, maintaining their popularity with passengers from around the globe.
The 2027 itinerary rollout includes 195 new voyages across the fleet, reaching 115 destinations in 32 countries between April 2027 and January 2028. Highlights of the program feature:
- 93 UNESCO World Heritage Sites
- 18 overnight stays
- 33 late-night departures
For the first time since 2018, three Cunard ships will sail round-trip from the UK, resulting in a 54% increase in Southampton capacity year-over-year, offering even more options for UK-based travellers.
