OOCL has launched a new shipping service, the Transpacific Latin Pacific 5 (TLP5), as part of its Asia–Latin America route offerings.

This new service expands upon OOCL’s existing loops TLP1, TLP2, and TLP3 by providing direct shipping links between China, Korea, and Mexico. The TLP5 boasts competitive transit times, with shipments from Qingdao to Ensenada and Manzanillo taking 15 and 20 days, respectively.

The TLP5 will follow a port rotation starting at Pusan (South Korea), then moving to Dalian (China), Ningbo (China), Shanghai (China), Qingdao (China), then crossing over to Ensenada (Mexico), heading to Manzanillo (Mexico), returning to Ensenada (Mexico), before moving to Yokohama (Japan) and back to Pusan (South Korea).

The inaugural voyage of this service is set to commence from Ningbo, with an anticipated arrival date of 6 May 2024.
