Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) has commissioned Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries to construct two 88,000 cubic meter LPG carriers.

These 230-meter-long, LPG-fueled ships will begin a time charter with France's TotalEnergies upon their delivery in 2026. The cost of the newbuilds has not been disclosed. In addition to LPG, the ships will also be capable of transporting ammonia.

MOL has a longstanding relationship with TotalEnergies across various sectors, including the transport of marine fuel oil and long-term charter contracts for LNG carriers and LNG bunkering vessels.
