Margaritaville at Sea Ships Meet in Nassau for First Time
Margaritaville at Sea recently marked a milestone when its two vessels visited Nassau simultaneously for the first time.
In an update shared by the cruise line, the *Margaritaville at Sea Paradise *and *Margaritaville at Sea Islander *were both docked in the Bahamian capital in late April.
Describing the occasion as an unforgettable gathering, the company said crew members and guests from both ships came together to celebrate the event.
The Paradise, which sails from West Palm Beach, arrived in Nassau during a four-night Bahamas itinerary that also included a call at Freeport. Meanwhile, the *Islander *visited the destination as part of a seven-day cruise from Tampa that featured stops in Key West and the Bahamas. Along with Key West, the six-night voyage included visits to Nassau and Freeport, as well as two days spent at sea.
The *Paradise *became the first ship in the Margaritaville at Sea fleet when it entered service in May 2022, launching the brand’s short cruise program to the Bahamas. Before joining the company, the vessel sailed for Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line as the *Grand Classica *and was originally built for Costa Cruises in 1991.
Two years later, the *Islander *joined the fleet, allowing Margaritaville at Sea to expand its presence across additional Caribbean destinations. Following an extensive refurbishment, the 1999-built ship began service for the brand in mid-2024 and marked Margaritaville at Sea’s entry into the Tampa market. Originally constructed for Costa Cruises, the Spirit-class vessel later operated for CSSC Carnival in China before being acquired by Margaritaville at Sea.
The company is set to continue its expansion with the addition of a third ship in 2027. The *Beachcomber *will begin offering cruises to the Caribbean and the Bahamas from PortMiami.
In other recent developments, the *Paradise *made its first-ever visit to Cozumel, Mexico, in early May. The call was part of the vessel’s inaugural short cruise itinerary to the Western Caribbean.
