MSC Poesia Enhances Spa and Fitness for Alaska Season
MSC Cruises has announced upgrades to the fitness and spa facilities onboard MSC Poesia ahead of its first Alaska season, according to a press release.
The improvements are taking place during the ship’s drydock in Malta and include a redesigned MSC Aurea Spa along with an expanded MSC Gym by Technogym.
“We have taken a thoughtful approach to enhancing MSC Poesia, ensuring the onboard experience matches Alaska’s bold and inspiring character and surpasses our guests’ expectations,” said Lynn Torrent, president, MSC Cruises North America.
“The refreshed spa and wellness areas offer new spaces to relax, recharge and warm up after a day of exploring Alaska’s legendary landscapes, delivering the perfect mix of European style and American comfort, along with the comfort and quality MSC Cruises is known for.”
The updated Aurea Spa will feature refreshed treatment rooms and a redesigned thermal area. It will also introduce treatments specifically suited to colder environments, aligning with the Alaska itineraries.
These include therapies focused on relieving muscle tension, supporting recovery after excursions, and helping the body adapt to colder temperatures.
New products such as warming creams, oils, and hydrating treatments will also be available to protect and nourish the skin in cold conditions.
The MSC Gym by Technogym will be relocated and expanded, offering a larger layout and updated equipment.
The upgraded space will include:
- Dedicated studios for group fitness classes
- A separate cycling studio
- Personalized wellness consultations
Guests will also have access to assessments such as Footbalance and InBody analysis as part of the enhanced fitness offering.
Following its refurbishment and repositioning voyage, MSC Poesia will begin operating seven-night Alaska cruises from Seattle starting in May 2026, with sailings continuing through September.
