Royal Caribbean International has launched its first Royal Beach Club in Europe, introducing a new shore experience on the Greek island of Santorini.

The Royal Beach Club Santorini welcomed its first visitors on April 27, as guests from Odyssey of the Seas arrived for a full-day excursion titled the “Ultimate Santorini Day.” The experience combines visits to some of the island’s most well-known locations with time spent at the new beach club on the black sand coastline of Vlychada.

The day begins with guided transport across the island, allowing guests to explore both Oia and Fira. In Oia, visitors can stroll through narrow streets lined with whitewashed buildings and blue-domed churches, offering views over the caldera. The village is widely recognized as one of Greece’s most photographed destinations.

The excursion then continues to Fira, the island’s capital, where guests can visit cafés, browse local shops and galleries, and enjoy panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. The atmosphere here is more vibrant, giving visitors time to relax and explore at their own pace.

The experience concludes at the Royal Beach Club Santorini, where guests can unwind in a private beachfront setting. The club offers sun loungers, umbrellas, towels, and Wi-Fi, along with expansive sea views. Food and beverages are included, featuring Greek cuisine, buffet options, snacks, and frozen yogurt. Guests are also welcomed with a drink and have access to wine and draft beer.

Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International, said Santorini continues to be one of the company’s most sought-after destinations, adding that the new beach club enhances the overall guest experience on the island.

Jason Liberty, chairman and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group, explained that the aim is to blend visits to iconic landmarks with time spent enjoying local beach culture, creating a well-rounded day for guests.

With this opening, Royal Caribbean is extending its beach club concept beyond the Caribbean, giving cruise passengers in Europe a new way to experience one of the region’s most popular destinations.
