Norwegian Jade Repositions to Japan for Fall Cruise Season

The Norwegian Jade is currently making its way to Yokohama ahead of a fall deployment featuring cruises around Japan and South Korea.

Following the completion of its summer season in Alaska, the Norwegian Cruise Line ship began a transpacific repositioning voyage on September 21, 2026 with the 16-night cruise sailing from Vancouver to Yokohama, including calls at destinations in both Alaska and Japan.

During the voyage, Norwegian Jade is scheduled to visit Ketchikan, Sitka, Whittier and Kodiak, as well as offer scenic cruising at Hubbard Glacier. The vessel will then call at Hakodate in Japan before arriving in Yokohama on October 7, 2026.

The upcoming deployment marks the first time Norwegian Jade has sailed in the region since 2019. Through late November, the ship will operate a selection of nine- to 14-night cruises in the Far East.

Departures are scheduled from Yokohama, Tokyo and Incheon, with the season including a two-week itinerary that circumnavigates the Japanese islands of Honshu and Shikoku.

Sailing from Tokyo to Yokohama in late October, the cruise will visit 12 destinations in Japan as well as one port in South Korea. The itinerary includes calls at Sakata, Kanazawa, Shimonoseki, Hiroshima, Nagoya and Shimizu in Japan, along with Busan in South Korea.

In early December, Norwegian Jade will reposition to Hong Kong ahead of a winter season operating cruises in Southeast Asia.

The 2,400-passenger vessel is scheduled to return to Japan in late February for a spring season in the Far East. It will remain in the region through late April before heading back to North America for another summer deployment in Alaska.

Before beginning its current transpacific voyage, Norwegian Jade underwent upgrades during a routine drydock. As with other ships in Norwegian Cruise Line’s Jewel class, the vessel received a new Vibe Beach Club. A new Starbucks location also debuted in the ship’s atrium as part of the improvements.
