Norwegian Prima to Sail from New Orleans Starting Late 2026
Norwegian Cruise Line has revealed that the Norwegian Prima will debut in New Orleans as part of its winter 2026-27 schedule. The ship will embark on seven-night cruises to the Western Caribbean.
Departing from the Big Easy, the 2022-built vessel will visit destinations in Mexico and Honduras, including Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Roatán. The itineraries also feature a stop at Harvest Caye, Norwegian's private destination in Southern Belize.
The Norwegian Prima’s deployment from New Orleans begins November 15, 2026, with Sunday departures through April 4, 2027.
The upcoming season also highlights Norwegian’s expanded presence in other ports. For the first time, the Norwegian Breakaway will sail from San Juan, Puerto Rico, offering Caribbean itineraries. Norwegian is also introducing cruises from Philadelphia, where the Norwegian Pearl will operate through winter following the port’s reopening to cruise traffic in April 2026.
Jacksonville will see the return of the Norwegian Gem, offering seven-night cruises to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, and Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian’s private Bahamian island, from November 2026 through March 2027.
From Miami, the company’s newest ships, the Norwegian Luna and Norwegian Aqua, will join the Norwegian Joy, Norwegian Jewel, and Norwegian Sun for various sailings. Tampa-based departures will feature the Norwegian Dawn and Norwegian Sky, while three vessels—the Norwegian Escape, Norwegian Epic, and Norwegian Getaway—will operate from Port Canaveral.
Additional homeports for Norwegian’s 2026-27 Caribbean season include New York City and Galveston, further solidifying the cruise line’s diverse deployment.
