Oil Tankers Collide Off UAE Coast Near Khor Fakkan

Two crude oil tankers, Adalynn and Front Eagle, were involved in a collision off the coast of the United Arab Emirates near the Khor Fakkan anchorage on the evening of Monday, June 16, 2025, at 21:14 UTC.
According to reports, the Front Eagle, sailing under the Libyan flag, was fully loaded and en route to Zhoushan, China. Meanwhile, the Adalynn, registered under Antigua and Barbuda and built in 2002, had recently departed the anchorage in ballast when the vessels made contact roughly 24 nautical miles offshore.
At 01:51 UTC on June 17, the Front Eagle updated its status to “Not Under Command,” indicating it was unable to maneuver. The Adalynn has been stationary at Fujairah anchorage since 21:48 UTC on the same day.
The UAE Coast Guard confirmed the incident and stated that all 24 crew members aboard the Adalynn were safely rescued.
