P&O Cruises Extends Taste of Barbados Culinary Program
P&O Cruises is continuing its partnership with award-winning Barbadian chefs for a second season of its Taste of Barbados culinary program aboard *Arvia *and Britannia.
The experience will return for the Caribbean fly-cruise season between October 2026 and March 2027. Chefs Sophie Michell, Adrian Cumberbatch and Damian Leach will once again take part, alongside Barbadian mixologist Shane McClean.
Passengers will have the opportunity to discover the flavors and culinary traditions of Barbados through live cooking demonstrations, exclusive dining experiences, locally inspired dishes and Caribbean cocktails. The participating chefs will also share insights into island life, as well as the ingredients and traditions that influence Barbadian cooking.
The Taste of Barbados menu will feature a variety of dishes, including lobster, fresh catch of the day, aromatic salt cod served with roasted breadfruit, ginger sweet potato mash and spiced pineapple chutney. A selection of dishes developed by the chefs will also be served in the Horizon buffet aboard the ships.
Sophie Michell will also lead interactive cooking demonstrations exclusively on Britannia. These sessions will showcase ingredients from Barbados while exploring the island’s farm-to-table approach to food.
P&O Cruises President Paul Ludlow said the cruise line chose to continue the program after a successful first season and strong demand from guests for authentic experiences connected to the destinations they visit.
During the winter season, *Arvia *and *Britannia *will sail a range of Caribbean itineraries. In addition to Barbados, the ships will visit destinations including Antigua, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, Grenada, Aruba and Curaçao.
