P\&O Cruises has announced a change to the final payment deadline for new cruise bookings departing from December 1, 2026.

In a statement sent to travel agents, the cruise line confirmed that guests will now be required to pay the remaining balance of their booking 120 days before their sailing date.

The updated policy applies only to bookings made after March 10, 2026, and will not affect reservations already made before that date, the company said. Bookings created on or after March 10, 2026, for cruises departing on or before November 30, 2026, will continue to follow the current policy requiring final payment 90 days prior to departure.

P\&O also confirmed that guests who booked their cruises before the change was introduced will still have their balance due 90 days before their sailing date, with no adjustments to their existing terms.

The cruise line serves the British market and currently operates a fleet of seven ships, including Arvia and Iona. These LNG-powered sister ships are the largest in the company’s fleet and can accommodate up to 5,200 passengers based on double occupancy.

Other ships in the Carnival Corporation-owned brand’s lineup include Aurora, built in 2000, which primarily operates adults-only cruises for most of the year.

With most sailings departing from Southampton, P\&O Cruises offers itineraries to destinations such as Northern Europe, the British Isles, the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands and the Norwegian Fjords.

The cruise line also runs fly-cruise programs in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and the Canary Islands, along with world cruises that depart from the United Kingdom.
