Royal Caribbean is set to return to year-round cruising from Singapore when Navigator of the Seas arrives in October.

The Voyager-class vessel was initially scheduled to operate only a winter program in Southeast Asia. Under the revised deployment, it will now remain based at Singapore’s Marina Bay Cruise Centre until October 2028. The expanded schedule will also see Royal Caribbean operate summer cruises in Southeast Asia for the first time since 2023.

Before the deployment change, Navigator of the Seas had been scheduled to sail a series of West Coast itineraries from Los Angeles. The ship will instead offer cruises from Singapore ranging from three to 12 nights as part of its new Southeast Asian program.

Itineraries will include calls at destinations in Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand. Passengers on some of the longer cruises will also be able to visit ports in Japan and China.

Royal Caribbean has maintained a seasonal presence in Singapore in recent years, primarily offering shorter cruises during the winter months. Its most recent year-round deployment from the city was operated by Spectrum of the Seas and concluded in April 2024. The Quantum-class ship then repositioned to China, bringing its two-year Southeast Asian deployment to an end.

*Navigator of the Seas *will now restore Royal Caribbean’s year-round presence in Singapore while also increasing the variety of itineraries available from the port.

The company is also planning further growth across Asia through a revised deployment for Voyager of the Seas which had previously been scheduled to spend the entire 2027-28 season operating from Australia.

Under the new plans, *Voyager *will instead offer a broader selection of cruises covering the South Pacific, Southeast Asia and the Far East. These changes have also resulted in a new deployment for *Ovation of the Seas *which had originally been scheduled to operate a winter season on the West Coast.

Instead, the ship will reposition to Australia for the 2027-28 season and operate cruises from Brisbane, joining Anthem of the Seas in the Australian market, further expanding Royal Caribbean’s capacity in the region.
