Authorities are investigating the disappearance of a U.S. passenger who went missing after leaving the Carnival Horizon cruise ship in Bonaire last week. Local officials identified the individual as Jessica Collins, 47, who was last seen on September 17, 2025, after disembarking at Port Kralendijk.

Police confirmed that Collins was captured on surveillance footage leaving the vessel dressed in a white printed shirt, light blue shorts, and white sandals, while carrying a gray backpack. She did not return to the ship before its scheduled departure.

Her luggage and other personal effects were left in her cabin, though she reportedly had her identification documents with her.

Extensive searches have since been launched by Bonaire police, coast guard units, and local volunteers, covering both land and sea areas. Authorities have released camera images and appealed to the public for any information on her whereabouts.

Meanwhile, online speculation has suggested that the missing woman might be Jessica Leigh Collins, who has previously spoken publicly about connections to the Jeffrey Epstein case and authored a book titled True Story of Jeffrey Epstein Victims.

At present, investigators are treating the case as a missing-person investigation. “Our priority is to find Ms. Collins and determine what happened,” a police spokesperson said. While social media has fueled speculation, officials stressed there is no verified evidence linking the missing traveler to the public figure with the same name.
