Xiamen Concludes 2026 Summer Cruise Season with 50,000 Guests

Xiamen concluded its 2026 summer cruise season on August 22 as Star Voyager departed from Xiamen International Cruise Homeport, according to Minnan Net. By August, the port had handled 15 cruise calls and more than 50,000 passengers.

The summer program began on July 16 when Star Voyager arrived from Hong Kong. Adora Mediterranea and Star Voyager subsequently operated three additional calls from Xiamen.

Following the summer season, Adora Mediterranea will begin a “Maritime Silk Road” homeport program connecting five Southeast Asian countries. The deployment marks the third consecutive year that Adora Cruises has operated a homeport season from Xiamen.

Adora Cruises said Adora Mediterranea is scheduled to operate more than 10 voyages from the city during 2026, offering a combination of short, medium and longer itineraries. Among the highlights is a 13-day cruise departing on November 7. The itinerary will visit Manila in the Philippines, Brunei, Sabah in Malaysia, Singapore and Nha Trang in Vietnam before ending in Shenzhen on November 19.

This will be followed by the 20-day “Nanyang Epic Song” itinerary, which is scheduled to depart on November 30 and call at eight ports across five countries.

Xiamen’s Port Authority said it plans to continue improving port infrastructure, developing its cruise offerings and making greater use of Xiamen’s position as a Maritime Silk Road gateway for cruise itineraries.

The authority is also working to establish Xiamen as a world-class cruise tourism destination, while connecting cruise arrivals with the city’s cultural and tourism attractions.
