Adora Cruises Launches Sea Film Festival Sailings
Adora Cruises is introducing a new “Sea Film Festival” themed cruise season running from late March through late June this year.
The program is being organized in collaboration with Changying Group and will deliver an immersive cinematic experience at sea. The themed voyages will take place simultaneously aboard Adora Magic City, Adora Mediterranea, and Piano Land, which is operated by Astro Ocean Cruises.
According to a company statement, the first sailing in the series will depart aboard Adora Magic City on March 29.
“In recent years, China’s film market has continued to flourish, and consumer enthusiasm for cinema keeps growing. Our collaboration with Changying Group is another innovative exploration of the ‘cruise + culture’ model,” said Adora Cruises in a statement.
“By creating new scenarios that integrate culture and tourism, we hope to bring classic films from the silver screen to the sea, allowing guests of all ages to resonate with these cinematic journeys and further enrich the cultural dimension of cruise travel.”
During the festival, more than 100 classic and modern films from different periods will be screened in onboard theaters and broadcast on in-cabin television channels.
Passengers sailing on Adora Magic City will also be able to take part in a variety of film-themed activities, including sing-along sessions featuring movie soundtracks, immersive interactive experiences, and exhibition-style photo opportunities inspired by cinema.
In addition, artists from Changying will join the voyages to interact with guests and share insights into the creative world of filmmaking.
Often referred to as the “cradle of Chinese cinema,” Changying has produced, created, and dubbed more than 3,400 films across multiple genres during its 80-year history.
