AIDA Cruises has revealed plans to once again team up with the Rostock Seawolves, a local Basketball Bundesliga team, to host two youth basketball camps aboard the AIDAnova this summer.

The camps, designed for kids aged 10 to 14, will take place during two week-long sailings titled “Scandinavian highlights from Kiel.” The first voyage runs from July 26 to August 2, and the second from August 23 to 30, 2025.

According to AIDA’s announcement, participants can look forward to six days of dynamic training sessions, collaborative activities, and plenty of fun. Under the guidance of Bundesliga player Svante Schmundt, the young athletes will focus on developing speed, shooting skills, and game tactics.

Beyond training, campers will enjoy social events like movie nights and an excursion to a climbing park.

Enrollment for the basketball program is available through the myAIDA holiday planner up to three days prior to the cruise’s departure, with a participation fee of €300 per child.

Since 2022, AIDA Cruises has partnered with the Rostock Seawolves on various initiatives aimed at fostering community spirit and regional pride. A particular focus has been placed on nurturing youth talent through projects like Basketball Makes School, in collaboration with Regionalliga Jugend, the Seawolves Academy, and the AIDA Student League.
