Aurora Expeditions has announced its 2027–28 Antarctica program, which features 34 voyages across its fleet.

The upcoming season includes a wide range of expeditions covering the Antarctic Peninsula, South Georgia, the Falkland Islands, the Weddell Sea, the Antarctic Circle and Patagonia.

“The Antarctica 2027-28 season captures the very essence of Aurora Expeditions — small ships, big adventures and deep connections with nature,” said Michael Heath, CEO of Aurora Expeditions.

“Each voyage is crafted to inspire and transform, whether you’re crossing the Antarctic Circle, photographing penguins on South Georgia, or joining our world-class expedition team in citizen-science projects that make a real impact,” Heath added.

Season Highlights

The season introduces four new or returning itineraries:

  • “South Georgia & Antarctica: Through the Lens”
  • “Across the Antarctic Circle: Fly the Drake”
  • “Southern Antarctic Realms: Antarctic Circle & Weddell Sea”
  • “Antarctic Feast: Circle in Depth”

Additional highlights include 10 Special Edition voyages focused on photography and culinary themes, along with:

  • A larger Antarctic Circle program featuring new Fly the Drake and Fly/Sail options
  • New one-off paddling sessions for added flexibility and adventure opportunities

Aurora noted that the season will also feature a roster of guest experts, including photographers, artists, filmmakers and scientists who will enhance the onboard experience through workshops, presentations and storytelling.

These guests offer perspectives that blend science, art, exploration and conservation, giving travelers more ways to connect with the Antarctic region and the people working to protect it.

With bookings now open, Aurora Expeditions is encouraging travelers to secure their preferred voyage and cabin early.
