Azamara Unveils 2028 Golf Cruises with Premier Golf
Azamara Cruises has announced a new partnership with Premier Golf that will debut in 2028, offering a series of golf-themed cruises to destinations across Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the Americas.
The collaboration will feature 23 dedicated sailings that combine Azamara’s cruise itineraries with access to renowned golf courses, onboard activities, and exclusive experiences on shore.
According to the cruise line, Asia will play a key role in the new program, complementing Azamara’s expanded deployment across Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia.
“Golf and travel have always shared a spirit of discovery, and this partnership brings those passions together in a way that perfectly complements Azamara’s approach to exploration,” said Dondra Ritzenthaler, chief executive officer of Azamara.
Working with Premier Golf allows us to offer guests unique access to some of the world’s most celebrated golf destinations while enjoying the comfort of our intimate ships, longer stays in port, and deeper connections to the places we visit.”
Guests booking Premier Golf packages on selected Azamara Golf Cruises will have the opportunity to play at several prestigious courses, including:
- New South Wales GC in Australia
- Seven Mile Beach GC in Tasmania
- Cabot Bordeaux GC in France
- Valderrama in Spain
- Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland
- Old Head of Kinsale in Ireland
- Kingsbarns in Scotland
- Tokyo GC in Japan
Azamara said the new program has been created for golf enthusiasts, PGA Professionals, golf clubs, and affinity groups looking to combine travel with the sport.
Every sailing will feature a PGA Professional on board, while guests can also take part in a range of golf-related events and activities. These include welcome and farewell receptions, educational talks and lectures, golf excursions ashore, and optional resort golf packages available before and after the cruise.
As part of the launch, Premier Golf will offer travel advisors a 10 percent commission on the value of their clients’ golf packages. The cruise line will also introduce a dedicated Premier Golf section within the Azamara World Academy, giving travel advisors specialized training designed to help them market and sell golf-focused cruise vacations.
Azamara said additional details, including sailing schedules and booking information, will be released over the coming months.
