Carnival Cruise Line has revealed its 2027 Alaska season plans, announcing that Carnival Spirit and Carnival Legend will sail from Seattle, while Carnival Luminosa will homeport in San Francisco. The three ships will offer over 50 Alaska sailings throughout the summer, along with repositioning cruises during the spring and fall.

Carnival Luminosa

The Carnival Luminosa will begin its 2027 deployment with a 23-day “Transpacific Journeys” cruise departing Sydney on April 6. This extensive voyage includes visits to Suva (Fiji), Moorea, Papeete (French Polynesia), and Honolulu before arriving in San Francisco.

Starting May 3, the ship will operate 10-day Alaska itineraries visiting key destinations such as Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, Tracy Arm Fjord, and Prince Rupert. In addition, Luminosa will offer several Baja Mexico sailings from San Francisco—featuring nine four-day extended-weekend cruises to Ensenada, departing on Thursdays and returning on Mondays. These voyages add more short-vacation options on the West Coast for guests eager to explore the Mexican Riviera.

Carnival Legend

The Carnival Legend will make its way from Tampa to Seattle with a 16-day Panama Canal cruise departing April 4, 2027. The itinerary includes visits to Cartagena and Santa Marta (Colombia), Acapulco (a first return since 2010), Cabo San Lucas, and a full Panama Canal transit.

Once in Seattle, the ship will kick off a season of 22 week-long Alaska cruises starting April 20. These cruises will call at popular Alaskan ports including Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, Tracy Arm Fjord, and Victoria, British Columbia. On September 21, Legend will offer a 16-day “Journeys Hawaii” cruise from Seattle, featuring stops at Honolulu, Hilo, Nawiliwili, Kahului, and Victoria.

Carnival Spirit

The Carnival Spirit will begin its 2027 season with two back-to-back “Carnival Journeys” sailings. The first is a nine-day Western Caribbean cruise departing March 20 from Mobile, Alabama, with stops in Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Montego Bay, and Isla Tropicale. It’s followed by a 16-day Panama Canal sailing departing March 29, visiting Cartagena, Cabo San Lucas, and Puntarenas, Costa Rica, and featuring a full canal transit.

From Seattle, Carnival Spirit will embark on a 15-day Hawaii cruise on April 14, calling at all four major Hawaiian Islands plus Victoria, BC. Then, beginning April 29, the ship will run 20 seven-day Alaska cruises, visiting iconic ports including Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, Tracy Arm Fjord, and Victoria. A special nine-day itinerary will include an additional stop in Sitka.

With a wide variety of itineraries and departure points, Carnival’s 2027 Alaska season offers something for every type of traveler—from short getaways to epic, multi-week voyages.
