Fire Contained on Ciudad de Sóller in Valencia Port

On August 18, a fire broke out aboard the passenger ferry Ciudad de Sóller, which was docked at the Transmediterranean Terminal in Valencia, Spain.
The incident was reported at 7:41 p.m. local time, originating in the vessel’s auxiliary engine within the engine room. Emergency crews responded immediately, with eight units from the Valencia Fire Brigade dispatched to the terminal. The blaze was quickly brought under control.
While smoke was initially visible, officials confirmed the fire was extinguished without major complications. No crew members were present in the engine room when the incident occurred, and no injuries were reported. Damage was contained to the affected engine area.
