Georgia Man Arrested After Alleged Assault on Children at Sea

A 44-year-old man from Georgia has been arrested after the Carnival Glory returned to Port Canaveral, Florida, following allegations that he assaulted two children while they were playing onboard.

The incident reportedly took place on Sunday as a group of children were playing tag in one of the ship’s corridors. According to investigators, the man, identified as David Crosby II, had been running with the children before suddenly stopping and allegedly attacking two of them.

Authorities claim Crosby punched one child in the face and struck another in the stomach. One of the children was left with a split lip and later complained of a headache, while the other reportedly suffered stomach pain following the incident. Shipboard security cameras recorded the alleged assault, and investigators reviewed the footage during their inquiry.

Law enforcement officials said Crosby appeared to be heavily intoxicated at the time of the incident. They also stated that he later told investigators he had no recollection of what had occurred.

After Carnival Glory arrived back at Port Canaveral, Crosby was arrested and transported to the Brevard County Jail. He remains in custody without bond while the case moves through the legal process.
