Hapag-Lloyd Cruises Unveils Golf Voyages for 2027-2028
Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has revealed a range of Golf & Cruise sailings for 2027 and 2028, giving golf fans the opportunity to play on renowned courses across multiple destinations worldwide.
Designed specifically for golfers of all abilities, these themed voyages combine cruising with tailored golf experiences that help guests develop and improve their game.
The cruise line said that passengers sailing aboard *Europa *and Europa 2 can also book individual golf packages on routes outside the dedicated Golf & Cruise itineraries.
Options range from beginner lessons and structured training programs to advanced coaching sessions and customized golf arrangements for specific portions of a voyage.
Guests can continue practicing while at sea thanks to onboard golf simulators, which offer virtual play on internationally recognized courses as well as focused technical training exercises. Advanced video analysis technology, including high-speed cameras, allows players to review and refine their swing technique. In addition, a PGA golf professional is stationed onboard year-round to provide coaching both onboard and during shore-based golf outings.
The standard Golf & Cruise package includes guidance from PGA golf professionals and organizational support for golf activities ashore.
Selected voyages also feature small-group golf excursions, with participants benefiting from warm-up sessions led by the onboard PGA professional before play begins.
Among the featured Golf & Cruise itineraries for 2027 and 2028 is The Charm of the Canary Islands Meets Oriental Magic, sailing from Mallorca to Tenerife from October 25 to November 6, 2027. This 12-day voyage combines golf experiences in southern Spain and North Africa before concluding in the Canary Islands. The cruise will be accompanied by Stefan Quirmbach, President of the PGA of Germany and a well-known golf expert.
Another highlighted voyage is A Colorful Start to the Year on Distant Shores, a 12-day cruise from Colombo, Sri Lanka, to Singapore, departing January 4, 2028. Guests will have the chance to play on courses throughout Sri Lanka and Malaysia, including tropical coastal layouts, rainforest fairways and traditional parkland courses. The sailing will be hosted by André Sallmann, a former professional golfer and coach with the German national men’s team.
