Heritage Adventurer's Japanese Cruises to Feature on Oz TV Show
Heritage Expeditions’ Japan itineraries are set to be showcased on the Australian television program Travel Oz Global, according to a company press release.
The episode, titled “Japan By Sea,” will air on Channel 10 at 9:30 a.m. AEST on Sunday, May 17, as part of season 8, episode 5. The program will feature Heritage Expeditions operations director and expedition leader Nathan Russ alongside travel writer Susan Elliott as they sail aboard the Heritage Adventurer during Japan’s Sakura, or Cherry Blossom, season.
The voyage visits destinations including Tokyo, Mount Fuji, Nagoya, Owase, Kochi, Shikoku Island, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Miyajima Island, and Busan in South Korea.
“Travel Oz Global showcases some of the world’s best travel destinations and experiences, and perfectly reflects our incredible Japan voyages. People don’t necessarily think of Japan as an expedition cruise destination, but Japan has some 6,852 islands – most of them wild and remote,” said Russ.
“Mix this with its futuristic cities, iconic gardens, wilderness and wildlife, ancient traditions, history and world-renowned cuisine all delivered in Heritage Expeditions unique style, and you have an incredible expedition cruise experience.”
The cruise line also highlighted several Japan itineraries planned for 2027, including:
*** Springtime Splendor in Japan Cruise** (April 17–26, 2027): a 10-day roundtrip sailing from Osaka featuring Japan in spring and a visit to Ulsan, South Korea
