Holland America Launches Second Annual Great HALiday Event

Holland America Line is marking the festive season with the return of its “Great HALiday Giveaway,” now in its second year, according to a recent announcement.

The online promotion runs from December 5 to 16, 2025. During this period, visitors can return to a dedicated website each day to enter for a chance to win a range of prizes.

As part of the campaign, the cruise line is offering 2026 sailings to destinations such as Alaska and Europe. Additional prizes include a family holiday voyage and a selection of gift cards.

The giveaway also features a top-tier reward. One winner will receive the full 2026 or 2027 Grand World Voyage aboard the Volendam.

Alongside the twelve days of prizes, Holland America Line is providing $25 deposits for qualifying cruises departing from summer 2026 to spring 2027.

The company stated that all participants in the Great HALiday Giveaway will receive an offer code that can be applied to a future reservation if used by December 31, 2025.

“The holidays are all about sharing joy, and we want to inspire travelers to dream big with 12 days of exciting giveaways,” said Kacy Cole, Holland America Line’s chief marketing officer.

“Whether it’s a cruise, gift card, or the extraordinary opportunity to experience an entire Grand World Voyage, each prize reflects an opportunity to connect to the world and each other. With exclusive $25 deposits, we hope to inspire even more guests to explore the world with Holland America Line,” she said.

Visitors can access the “Great HALiday Giveaway” website daily for a chance to win a cruise for two to Alaska, the Caribbean, Europe, Canada/New England, or the Pacific Coast. Other prizes include an Alaska Cruisetour and $200 Holland America Line gift cards.

The structure mirrors an advent calendar. Participants provide their details and open a virtual “door” to see the prize available that day.

Anyone who enters on multiple days will earn additional entries toward the grand prize. The winner may choose to sail the full Grand World Voyage in 2026 or 2027 or select one of its segments.

Holland America noted that the 2024 HALiday Giveaway marked the first time the brand awarded a cruise of this scale.
