Holland America Sees Strong Growth in Europe Cruise Demand
Holland America Line is reporting a significant increase in interest for its European cruises, with bookings for the 2026 season rising by more than one-third compared to the same period last year.
The cruise line noted that the strongest growth has been seen in its Northern Europe itineraries.
“With our Dutch roots and unmatched expertise in the region, guests know they’re traveling with the European cruise experts when they choose Holland America,” said Dan Rough, vice president of revenue management for Holland America Line.
According to the company, guests sailing in Europe during the 2026 season can expect immersive itineraries designed to deliver both cultural depth and regional authenticity. Key highlights include:
- Visits to more than 175 UNESCO World Heritage sites across 35 countries, spanning the Mediterranean, British Isles, Northern Europe, and the Canary Islands
- Calls at well-known destinations such as Barcelona, Naples, and Dubrovnik, alongside lesser-visited ports including Portofino, St. Tropez, and Valletta
- Regionally inspired onboard dining, featuring menus influenced by Mediterranean, Northern European, and British Isles cuisine
- The ability for guests to watch every FIFA World Cup 26 match while sailing
Holland America Line also said that, for a limited time, guests booking select European cruises with the Have It All package can secure a $25 deposit and receive a complimentary balcony upgrade. Eligible sailings include:
- 14-day “Wild British Isles: Glasgow Overnight,” departing May 30, 2026, onboard Nieuw Statendam
