Kai Tak Cruise Terminal Marks Milestones Entering 2026
Kai Tak Cruise Terminal reported a series of achievements as it entered its 13th year of operations in January 2026 including that during 2025 it hosted seven inaugural cruise calls.
“One of the highlights from 2025 was when KTCT welcomed three world-class ships from two different cruise lines at its two berths on March 19, 2025. This remarkable day brought over 10,000 passengers and crew members to the beautiful city of Hong Kong,” said Jeff Bent, managing director for Worldwide Cruise Terminals.
The vessels included Cunard’s Queen Anne and Queen Elizabeth, and NCLH’s Norwegian Sky.
Queen Anne arrived the previous day and remained overnight, while QueenElizabeth and Norwegian Sky both called at the terminal on March 19. The visits by the two latter ships also marked their first-ever calls to Hong Kong.
In addition, Worldwide Cruise Terminals, together with the Cruise Line Industry Association, the Hong Kong Travel Agents Owners Association and Royal Caribbean, hosted a full-day training workshop at the terminal on December 9, 2025. The event was designed for more than 50 travel agents new to the cruise sector. The program combined terminal-based training with an onboard tour of Spectrum of the Seas.
Kai Tak Cruise Terminal also welcomed three new tenants in the second half of 2025. Two Point Zero Cafe & Bar, a pet-friendly café, opened in July 2025, followed by the Global Chinese Pop Music Association in September 2025. The Hong Kong International Medical Healthcare Management Centre is scheduled to open in February 2026.
Looking ahead, the terminal is planning new initiatives for 2026, including the introduction of airport check-in and baggage delivery services.
In recognition of its performance, the terminal was named Asia’s Leading Cruise Port at the 2025 World Travel Awards for the third consecutive year and received more than 15 additional awards and certifications.
