MSC Meraviglia to Debut in Southern Caribbean in 2027

MSC Meraviglia will be deployed to the Southern Caribbean for the first time during the 2027-28 winter season.

Deployment details published on MSC Cruises’ websitea9ea) show that the 2017-built ship is scheduled to sail on a trans-Atlantic voyage to Martinique in early November 2027, positioning the vessel in the region ahead of the winter program.

The 14-night repositioning cruise will depart from Southampton and include calls across Europe, the Atlantic and the Caribbean. Prior to arriving in Fort-de-France, the itinerary features stops in Le Havre and Ponta Delgada, followed by Caribbean calls in St. John’s, Antigua; Kingstown, Saint Vincent; and Bridgetown, Barbados.

Once in the region, MSC Meraviglia is expected to begin seven-night cruises departing from Martinique and Guadeloupe on November 20 and November 21, 2027, respectively.

MSC Cruises said that further information regarding specific itineraries and departure details will be released at a later date.

After several years sailing from New York City, the Meraviglia is set to return to the Western Mediterranean for an upcoming summer deployment. Bringing MSC’s Northeast farewell season to a close, the 4,500-guest ship is scheduled to reposition to Southern Europe in mid-April 2026. The vessel will then operate weeklong cruises to Spain, Italy, Tunisia and France through October before arriving in Miami for the 2026-27 winter season.

The 167,600-ton ship is later planned to take over from MSC Virtuosa in the UK market, offering a series of cruises from Southampton during the summer of 2027.

As the first vessel in MSC Cruises’ Meraviglia class, MSC Meraviglia was built at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in France and entered service in early 2017. It was followed by four sister ships: MSC Bellissima and MSC Grandiosa in 2019, MSC Virtuosa in 2021 and MSC Euribia in 2023.
