Multiple Medical Emergencies Occur on Norwegian Bliss

A recent Alaska cruise aboard the Norwegian Bliss was disrupted by a series of medical incidents, including a serious emergency evacuation coordinated by the U.S. Coast Guard.
One of the most urgent cases involved a 54-year-old male passenger who exhibited symptoms consistent with a stroke. The evacuation occurred off the coast of Cape Flattery, Washington, where the man was airlifted from the ship and later transferred to Olympic Medical Center via local emergency responders.
However, this wasn’t the only health-related issue reported during the voyage. Several passengers took to cruise-related Facebook groups to share their experiences, noting a high number of medical emergencies during the sailing.
“Never seen so many medical emergencies,” one passenger commented. “Just two hours after we left port, someone had to be dropped off by boat. Then in Skagway, we had to wait due to another emergency, and just before Victoria, a Coast Guard medevac happened.”
Another guest mentioned additional onboard incidents requiring medical attention. “There was a medical emergency at the Savor Restaurant and another in front of the gym,” they noted, commending the ship’s medical team for their prompt and effective response.
