Norwegian Cancels Over 55 Cruises for 2026-27 Season

Norwegian Cruise Line has confirmed the cancellation of more than 55 sailings planned for the 2026-27 season across four of its ships.
In a notice sent to travel advisors, the company said the move is part of a redeployment strategy that will see the Norwegian Gem and Norwegian Dawn exchange homeports.
Several departures onboard the Norwegian Joy from PortMiami and the Norwegian Getaway from Port Canaveral were also cancelled.
“From November 2026 to March 2027, the Norwegian Gem and the Norwegian Dawn will swap homeports and offer modified and enhanced itineraries,” Norwegian stated.
Under the revised deployment, the Norwegian Gem will sail from Tampa on four- to 11-night cruises to the Caribbean and the Bahamas, while the Norwegian Dawn will offer short Bahamas getaways from Jacksonville. Norwegian highlighted that the new programs provide “a wider variety of options” for guests.
As part of the changes, all Norwegian Gem cruises between Nov. 1, 2026, and Apr. 4, 2027, have been cancelled, along with all Norwegian Dawn departures between Nov. 1, 2026, and Mar. 28, 2027.
In addition, five Norwegian Getaway sailings and four Norwegian Joy departures were removed from the schedule due to port availability. These included Getaway’s Nov. 16, Nov. 20, Nov. 25, Dec. 14 and Dec. 18, 2026 cruises, and Joy’s Dec. 18, Dec. 21, Dec. 24 and Dec. 28, 2026 voyages.
Norwegian said revised itineraries for these dates will soon be available for booking. “The new sailings will feature more immersive itineraries to the Caribbean and the Bahamas for guests looking for longer cruises during the holiday season,” the company added.
