AIDAdiva marked the start of the 2026 cruise season in Rostock-Warnemünde on Sunday, March 29. The ship arrived at the cruise terminal to carry out a turnaround between a six-day Scandinavian voyage and a five-day Baltic Sea cruise.

This year, the port of Warnemünde is expecting a total of 162 cruise calls from 34 ships representing 20 cruise lines. A significant share of these visits will come from AIDA Cruises, which is based in Rostock. Throughout the year, AISAdiva’s sister ships AIDAmar and AIDAluna will also call at the port for passenger exchanges, along with several occasions where two AIDA ships will be in port simultaneously.

AIDAdiva’s Seasonal Deployment

After completing three shorter Baltic cruises, AIDAdiva will move on to seven-night itineraries sailing to destinations in Norway and the Baltic region.

At the end of August, the ship will depart Warnemünde for a 17-day special voyage to North America via Iceland. The itinerary will conclude in New York City, where the vessel will be based for the fall season, offering cruises along the U.S. East Coast.

Cruise Season Gains Momentum

The 2026 cruise season in Warnemünde is now gradually building. The next arrival is scheduled for March 31, when Ambassador Cruise Line’s Ambition is due to call at the port.

During April, most visits will be from AIDA ships, while from May onward, a greater number of international vessels will begin arriving. Warnemünde often serves as a gateway for excursions to Berlin, making it a key port of call for visiting cruise lines.

The season is expected to run through to the end of the year, with Saga Cruises’ Spirit of Adventure scheduled as the final call on December 29, 2026.
