Offshore Vessel Hits Wind Turbine Off Dutch Coast

The Glomar Venture, a Panama-flagged offshore supply ship, struck a wind turbine in the North Sea off the coast of the Netherlands, resulting in injuries to two of its eight crew members.
The incident took place on April 20 at around 7:00 AM local time, approximately 24 kilometers offshore near the town of Callantsoog. Emergency services, including the Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution (KNRM) and the Dutch Coastguard, responded promptly.
The injured sailors received initial medical assistance onboard before being evacuated to shore by a KNRM lifeboat. Upon arrival in Den Helder, they were taken to a hospital for further treatment.
Despite the collision, the Glomar Venture remained operational and proceeded to Den Helder under its own power. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine what led to the accident.
