Royal Caribbean International is extending special offers to guests booked on the Allure of the Seas cruise departing from Rome on April 24, 2025, encouraging flexible travelers to consider modifying their plans.

In a message sent to selected passengers, the cruise line is providing multiple compensation options for those willing to switch to another sailing or ship. Guests may also choose a cabin downgrade in exchange for benefits, including onboard credit and a full refund.

“Ahead of our April 24, 2025, cruise onboard the Allure of the Seas, we are looking to see if you and your travel party have flexible travel arrangements,” the company wrote.

“If your plans are set in stone, please mark this email as ‘read’ and gear up for your upcoming adventure – although there are some pretty sweet options below,” the message continued.

The seven-night itinerary onboard Allure of the Seas is scheduled to sail from Civitavecchia (Rome), with port calls in La Spezia, Naples, Marseille, Palma de Mallorca, and Barcelona.

For guests open to alternate arrangements, Royal Caribbean is offering three choices:

Option 1: Rebook on a Different Cruise; Travelers may shift their reservations to one of three alternative sailings, including two similar itineraries aboard Allure of the Seas in May or a different voyage to Greece and Turkey aboard the Odyssey of the Seas. Guests who choose this option will retain their original stateroom category and receive a full refund of the amount paid for the April 24 sailing. Royal Caribbean will also cover any non-refundable pre-paid expenses, such as hotel bookings or flight change fees.

Option 2: Accept a Cabin Downgrade; Guests who choose to move from a balcony stateroom to an interior cabin will receive a full refund of their original cruise fare and $300 in onboard credit per stateroom.

Option 3: Cancel for Full Refund and Cruise Credit; Passengers may cancel their existing booking altogether and receive a full refund plus a 100% future cruise credit to use on a future Royal Caribbean voyage. As with the other options, non-refundable travel expenses like hotels and flights will also be reimbursed.

Allure of the Seas recently returned to Mediterranean service after a major refurbishment in Spain, offering enhanced amenities ahead of its 2025 cruise season.
