Princess Cruises is set to begin offering cruises from Bridgetown, Barbados starting in early 2027. According to information on the company’s website, a total of ten sailings will depart from the new homeport between January 2027 and March 2028.

The first vessel scheduled to operate from Barbados is Crown Princess, which will run a series of seven-night cruises from the island between January and March 2027. These voyages will also include interporting in San Juan and feature Southern Caribbean itineraries with stops in destinations such as Martinique, St. Maarten and Grenada.

During the 2027–28 winter season, additional departures will be offered when Emerald Princess takes over the itineraries. While homeporting in Puerto Rico, the ship will also offer cruises that include departures from Barbados as part of the program.

The deployment includes six- to nine-night Southern Caribbean voyages scheduled between November 2027 and March 2028. Ports featured on these itineraries include Roseau in Dominica, Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, Basseterre in St. Kitts and St. John’s in Antigua.

Princess Cruises said adding Barbados as a homeport will provide more flexibility and convenience for travelers flying from the United Kingdom.

Before introducing sailings from Bridgetown, the cruise line returned to Puerto Rico for the 2025–2026 winter season. The move marked Princess’ first return to the San Juan homeport in more than ten years, with Grand Princess beginning operations there in October 2025.

The 1996-built ship is scheduled to continue sailing from the port through March 2026, after which Crown Princess will take over for the 2026–27 season.

Princess Cruises’ upcoming Caribbean winter program will include 187 sailings across nine ships. The season will also feature the debut of Star Princess in Port Canaveral.

The cruise line will also add visits to Celebration Key, Carnival Cruise Line’s new private destination located in Grand Bahama.
