Royal Caribbean Plans Return to Baltimore in 2027
Royal Caribbean International has confirmed that it will resume operations from Baltimore in 2027, according to a recent press release.
The Vision of the Seas will bring the brand back to the Maryland homeport, offering cruises ranging from five to nine nights to destinations in the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada and New England.
Built in 1996, the ship returns to Baltimore for an extended summer season starting in May 2027 after completing a deployment in San Juan.
The initial schedule from Maryland features alternating five night itineraries to Bermuda and nine night sailings to the Bahamas and Bermuda. The shorter cruises include an overnight stay at the Royal Naval Dockyard, while the longer sailings add visits to Nassau and Bimini.
From late August onward, the Vision of the Seas will operate a series of nine night voyages to Canada and New England. These roundtrip itineraries from Baltimore include stops in destinations such as Halifax, Saint John, Sydney, Portland and Boston.
Royal Caribbean’s website lists 21 departures from Baltimore between May 29, 2027, and October 16, 2027. The voyages were first opened to Crown & Anchor Society loyalty members before general bookings began on November 13.
Royal Caribbean also highlighted key amenities on the Vision of the Seas, including the Vitality Spa, the adults only Solarium and the multilevel Centrum. Dining options onboard include specialty venues such as Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen and the Asian influenced Izumi.
Guests will also have access to production shows in the main theater, including Broadway Rhythm & Rhyme and the Royal Caribbean original Boogie Wonderland.
Alongside its Baltimore return, the company shared additional details about its 2027 to 2028 schedule, which includes the introduction of the Icon of the Seas in Texas.
