Visio Expands North China Cruise Program with Qingdao Sailings
Tianjin Oriental’s Visio has completed two cruises from Qingdao International Cruise Homeport in July, expanding its North China deployment and marking the first large homeport cruise departures from Qingdao during the 2026 summer season.
The move represents a strategic expansion for the company, which had previously operated the *Visio *exclusively from Tianjin. With the addition of Qingdao, the ship is now homeported in three northern Chinese cities: Tianjin, Qingdao, and Dalian.
By deploying the vessel across these three locations, Tianjin Oriental aims to serve a wider regional customer base, including travelers from Northeast China through Dalian, Shandong Province through Qingdao, and the Jing-Jin-Ji metropolitan region through Tianjin.
The two departures took place on July 1 and July 5, each offering a five-day international itinerary. According to Tianjin Oriental Cruise, both voyages sailed from Qingdao to Jeju, South Korea, and Incheon. Both of the* *July sailings from Qingdao were fully chartered by Caissa Tourism.
Prior to beginning its Qingdao program, the vessel completed a short spring season from its primary homeport of Tianjin. The ship is scheduled to return there in August, where it will join Adora Mediterranea in a dual-ship deployment for the peak summer travel season and the National Day holiday period.
Before the arrival of Visio, Qingdao had hosted only one homeported cruise during the first half of 2026. That sailing was Adora Cruises’ Adora Mediterranea, which operated a themed “Sea Film Festival” voyage in May.
