AD Ports and Masdar Partner on Global Offshore Wind Projects
AD Ports Group, the Abu Dhabi based ports and logistics operator, has entered into a partnership with fellow UAE company Masdar to support the development and execution of offshore wind projects.
Under the new agreement, the two organizations will work together to identify opportunities where AD Ports can act as a primary partner and contractor for Masdar’s international offshore wind portfolio.
Both companies will collaborate on defining technical requirements for upcoming projects and outline where AD Ports can apply its expertise. This may include supplying and fabricating substations, providing onshore and offshore logistics services, delivering subsea support, and offering maintenance and operational assistance.
Masdar currently develops and operates several major offshore wind projects in Europe, including the 476MW Baltic Eagle project in Germany and the 1.4GW East Anglia Three project in the United Kingdom.
“Leveraging our combined strengths, we have an opportunity to accelerate the deployment of sustainable, innovative, and technologically advanced offshore wind solutions,” said Ammar Al Shaiba, CEO of the Maritime and Shipping Cluster at AD Ports.
The partnership supports the UAE’s broader goals for sustainable development and economic diversification.
