AIDA Cruises has introduced 3D virtual tours of its crew spaces, developed in collaboration with Liquid Ambient.

Crew Center reports that the 360-degree views give current seafarers and prospective recruits a chance to see what life is like behind the scenes on board.

Through the tours, potential employees can explore crew facilities such as dining areas, bars, and training centers. The virtual experiences are available across the entire fleet and are categorized by AIDA’s three ship classes: Helios, Hyperion, and Sphinx.

Staterooms can also be viewed, including single cabins, shared-bathroom singles, and doubles. AIDA emphasizes that its ships are not only workplaces but also serve as a “second home” for employees.

To support crew well-being, vessels are equipped with gyms, saunas, sun decks, pools, hair salons, and relaxation zones. Each ship also features a Crew Recreation Center offering books, films, and board games.

According to the company, AIDA employs 18,000 people globally across two offices and 11 ships. Its workforce represents 60 nationalities, with contracts typically lasting three to six months.

Looking ahead, AIDA is preparing to welcome at least 2,500 additional crew members over the next six years. Two new LNG-powered ships, ordered from Fincantieri earlier this year, are scheduled for delivery in 2030 and 2031. Each will measure 150,000 tons and accommodate 4,200 guests.

At the same time, the company is investing in upgrading its Sphinx Class vessels. Through the AIDA Evolution program, seven ships will receive refreshed designs, expanded suites, improved public areas, and new features over the coming years.
