American Cruise Lines has revealed a new addition to its 2026 Extended Cruises lineup—a 32-day “Revolutionary War Cruise” in honor of the United States’ 250th anniversary.

Running from October 8 to November 8, the journey sails from Albany, New York, to Washington, D.C., and will feature onboard historians who will narrate the story of the nation’s path to independence. The cruise route includes scenic segments along the Hudson River and East Coast, timed to coincide with the vibrant fall foliage.

Guests will visit historically significant cities such as New York, Boston, Annapolis, Newport, Philadelphia, and more, with shore excursions planned in locations like West Point, Mount Vernon, and the historic triangle of Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Yorktown. Additionally, the cruise includes a stay at the Four Seasons in Washington, D.C., and a tour of the Smithsonian’s Entertainment Nation exhibit.

Passengers will travel aboard all three of the cruise line’s newest vessels—the American Legend, American Patriot, and the soon-to-debut American Pioneer.

This itinerary joins American’s growing list of long voyages for 2026, which also includes:

  • A 52-day “Great United States Cruise”
  • A 51-day “Spring Across America Cruise”
  • A 55-day “Great American Fall Foliage Cruise”
  • A 36-day “Civil War Battlefields Cruise”

All extended cruises feature inclusive packages that cover air travel, hotels between segments, all onboard meals and drinks (including alcohol), excursions, entertainment, Wi-Fi, tips, and port charges. Pricing for the Revolutionary War Cruise starts at $30,105 per person, with a $5,000 deposit required upon booking. Reservations are currently open.
