Royal Caribbean International’s Anthem of the Seas is making its debut in Alaska, marking its first deployment in the region.

After spending the winter sailing from Singapore and across Southeast Asia, the 2015-built ship set out on a repositioning journey to North America in late April.

The 15-night cruise from Japan to the U.S. includes three ports of call before concluding in Seattle on May 9, 2025. From there, Anthem of the Seas begins its inaugural Alaska season, offering a series of seven-night cruises that also feature stops in Canada.

Departing Seattle every Friday, the weeklong itineraries visit Victoria, Juneau, Skagway, and Sitka, with select sailings also stopping at Icy Strait Point. The ship will remain in Alaska through early October.

Following the Alaska season, the 4,204-guest vessel will head south for a trans-Pacific voyage to Australia and the South Pacific. The repositioning cruise features two segments: a nine-night sailing to Honolulu from Vancouver, followed by a 17-night itinerary to Sydney. The latter includes visits to Papeete, Raiatea, and Tauranga in French Polynesia and New Zealand.

Upon arrival in Australia, Anthem of the Seas will debut itineraries from Sydney, offering cruises to Australia, the South Pacific, and New Zealand.

The 158,000-ton ship is scheduled to return to Seattle for a second Alaska season beginning in May 2026.

Royal Caribbean’s 2025 Alaska program will feature four ships: Anthem of the Seas, Quantum of the Seas, Serenade of the Seas, and Radiance of the Seas. The vessels will sail from Seattle, Vancouver, and Seward between May and September, visiting popular ports including Haines, Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway, as well as scenic spots like Dawes Glacier, Endicott Arm Fjord, and Hubbard Glacier.
