Apollo Group has inaugurated its new corporate headquarters in Mumbai, operating under Asturias Ships, marking a key step in the company’s continued growth both in India and the global cruise industry, according to a recent press release.

The new Mumbai hub will serve as a central base for essential support functions across Apollo’s international fleet, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen service delivery for its cruise partners worldwide.

According to the company, the Asturias Ships office will oversee several vital departments, including Human Resources and Talent Development, Scheduling and Crew Deployment, Purchasing and Supply Support, Information Technology Services, and Accounting and Shared Services.

Apollo emphasized that the establishment of this office reflects the company’s appreciation for the many generations of Indian seafarers who have contributed to its success, as well as its ongoing commitment to developing future maritime and hospitality professionals in the country.

The ribbon-cutting and traditional flame-lighting ceremony was led by Shri Shyam Jagannathan (IRS), Director General of Shipping, Mumbai Port, whose participation underscored the significance of this milestone and the company’s shared goal of strengthening India’s position in the global maritime sector.

In its statement, Apollo said it is proud to support and align with the DG Shipping Vision 2030, particularly in advancing skill development, expanding opportunities, and promoting India’s leadership in maritime talent.

The creation of the Mumbai hub was guided by collaboration across the Apollo Group, with key contributions from Bal Gautham, who played a vital role in coordinating operational requirements.

“As we look to the future, our Mumbai office enhances our ability to support the fleet more effectively,” said Philippe Faucher, Senior Vice President, Apollo Group. “It brings us closer to the communities that have long contributed to Apollo’s success and allows us to expand opportunity for the next generation of Indian seafarers and hospitality professionals.”
