Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Solstice has entered drydock in Singapore to begin a significant refurbishment and modernization program. After completing an open-jaw voyage from Hong Kong, the ship arrived at the Southeast Asian shipyard on January 16, 2026.

Built in 2008, the vessel is now undergoing a 45-day drydock as part of a wider $250 million investment that will also see other ships in the Solstice class refurbished over the coming years.

The project includes extensive upgrades to public spaces and onboard offerings, with new dining venues, entertainment concepts, and additional stateroom categories set to be introduced. All accommodations onboard will be refreshed, and new cabins will be added across several areas of the 2,850-guest ship.

One of the new additions is the Boulevard Lounge and Bar, a venue designed to host a variety of entertainment options such as game shows, candlelit concerts, and dueling piano performances. The ship will also debut Trattoria Rossa, an Italian-inspired specialty restaurant that will take the place of Qsine at Silk Harvest.

Other enhancements include the introduction of Sunset Park, a new open-air space featuring lawn games and outdoor concerts.

Celebrity’s exclusive suite complex, The Retreat, will be completely redesigned with a new sun deck, an updated private lounge, and additional enhancements.

The cruise line also confirmed that AquaClass staterooms will receive extensive updates with spa-inspired design features, alongside the full stateroom refresh across the ship.

Celebrity Solstice is scheduled to return to service on March 2, 2026, with a 12-night cruise to Hong Kong. Departing from Singapore, the open-jaw sailing includes calls in Thailand and Vietnam, including Ho Chi Minh City and Laem Chabang. Following its Asian and Pacific itineraries, the 122,000-ton ship will reposition to Alaska for its summer deployment.
