China to Launch Cruise Food Standards at CCS18

The China International Cruise Food Standards will be formally introduced at the 18th China Cruise Shipping Conference (CCS18), according to a recent announcement.
The initiative, led by the China Cruise and Yacht Industry Association (CCYIA) in partnership with the Beijing Agricultural Products Circulation Association, will be presented during the event taking place in Nansha, Guangzhou, from November 6–8, 2025.
Alongside the launch, an F&B-focused forum will be organized, featuring an expanded food exhibition zone.
The new standards have been strongly backed by the Center for Agro-product Safety and Quality, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, as well as China Cruises Ltd.
According to the CCYIA, the standards emphasize both safety and quality, covering the full supply chain from planting and breeding to processing, packaging, logistics, and storage. The framework incorporates big data to monitor each step.
The goal, CCYIA noted, is to raise the visibility and competitiveness of Chinese food in the global cruise market while providing guidance for cruise operators and regulators on key areas such as sourcing, processing, packaging, and distribution.
The association described the project as being of “great significance” for advancing both the F&B sector and the broader supply chain of China’s cruise economy.
Organizers of CCS18 said the conference will also focus on strengthening China’s cruise industry and its supply networks, while encouraging stronger integration between the cruise economy and the modern service sector.
The event will run alongside the International Cruise Supply Exhibition, showcasing more than 100 suppliers from South China and other regions.
